The PHNX Rises

PHNX Home was born out of seeing first hand the inability of the design/construction industry to adequately respond to the seasonal devastation wrought by wildfires. Founded by an architect and a builder in 2019, PHNX Development is the first design/build company to focus on making the industry more responsive to the needs of the client.

Laurie C. Fisher

Architect & PHNX Founder

Principal, LCFA Studio

With more than 25 years of experience in the United States and abroad, Laurie's award-winning designs have garnered recognition in print and throughout the design/construction industry.

Certified by the State of California in Crisis Intervention since 2014, Laurie utilized her training in Trauma Informed Care to develop a design process that is sensitive to the unique needs of wildfire survivors.

After working with fire survivors to rebuild their homes, she saw and experienced first hand the many challenges and obstacles that these resilient people face and became determined to create a process that is sensitive to their needs, and treats survivors with dignity and respect.

Tony Penna

Builder & PHNX Founder

Penna Construction Inc. is a California Licensed Contractor specializing in concrete and Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF). They have been in the construction business for three generations at the same location in Capistrano Beach, CA since 1956.
