TYPE II NON-COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION
A PHNX home is non-combustible. Built with Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) construction and steel, it is classified as a Type II Non-Combustible, fire-resistant structure in full compliance with California and International building codes. Your new PHNX home retains its structural integrity and will not ignite even in a raging wildfire.
NET-ZERO ENERGY USE
A Tesla photovoltaic array sized sufficiently to power your entire home is included in the cost of every PHNX home. State-of-the-art, all-electric appliances mean no costly gas hook-ups and no gas bills. Even our water heaters and clothes dryers use the latest heat pump technology, and are more efficient than their gas counterparts.
A PHNX home includes a fully zoned, ducted mini-split heating and cooling system. The temperature of each room can be individually controlled and maintained simultaneously.

COMPONENT BASED DESIGN
The PHNX home design process delivers a custom, site-built home that is fully adaptable to your property and your lifestyle. Beginning with three base components – kitchen, great room and master suite – we mix and match to add or remove sections. Bedroom suites, an office/den, a dining room and more can be combined in unique ways to create an infinite variety of custom floor plans.
Component Based Design utilizes fast and efficient building processes and materials that are adaptable and innovative. Wild fluctuations in material and labor costs that plague traditional builds are not a factor in the PHNX design build process.
Traditional wood framing design is notoriously inconsistent and in today’s market the price of lumber is constantly increasing. A PHNX home contains no structural wood, period. Not only will it not burn, but it won’t rot or fall victim to pests or termites. Our insulated concrete walls are straight and smooth.
With ICF construction, there are only three components – concrete, rebar and EPS foam. The concepts are simple and predictable, and the plasticity of concrete gives us a wide range of design flexibility.
